Appliqué Group

As The Needle Turns

On the 1st Saturday of every month, the OPQG appliqué group meets.  We average 35 members at these meetings. This group is designed for anyone interested in learning or improving their skills in applique. The skill levels of those attending this group range from beginner to advanced. Some members enjoy hand applique and others enjoy machine applique.

If you are new to our guild, this is a good group to join to meet friends and to learn appliqué techniques. We meet at the Empire Bank in Nixa, MO.  Our meetings start at 10:30 am and we are generally finished by 1:00 pm.  Bring a bag lunch if you want to eat during the meeting.  Remember to bring something for show and tell each month (a finished or unfinished appliqué project or a good book you have found on the subject of appliqué). Either during or after our general meeting, we often have a mini-workshop or demonstration taught by one of our members.

We send email notices to our applique members regarding upcoming meetings, cancellations of meetings, our mini workshops and information about applique. If you are not on our email list and plan to attend one of our meetings, please call either Kathy Kansier or Helen Kroger first to make sure the meeting hasn't been canceled. If you have any further questions about our group, call Kathy Kansier (417-725-6502) or Helen Kroger (417-725-0341).
