WORKSHOP INFORMATION


All Day Workshop = $50 (member), $65 (non-member)
Afternoon or Evening Workshop = $25 (member), $35 (non-member)
Unless otherwise stated on the class listing

As a reminder, professional workshop registration opens 6 months BEFORE their scheduled date.
A deposit of 1/2 the fee is due at signup to hold your seat in the workshop.
The balance is due 30 days BEFORE the class or you will FORFEIT your deposit.

            There are still openings in the following workshops.  You may register and thereby assure your place in the class by paying 1/2 of the class fee.  The remainder of the fee will be due one month prior to the class date.

Edie McGinnis, Kansas City Star author and editor, began her career with The Star in 1987. She recently retired after nearly 21 years with the company. Edie continues to work on a contractual basis as a consultant, editor and author for The Kansas City Star. She contributes as a columnist on The Star's Web site, Pickledish.com and has had several single patterns published. She has published over a dozen quilt books with The Star. This year Edie and Jan Patek teamed up and designed the Block of the Month series, Across the Wide Missouri , running in The Kansas City Star.

Edie lectures on The Kansas City Star quilt patterns, their history and the designers who worked at The Star in the early years. She has added lectures and trunk shows on Feedsacks and working with Pre-Cut fabrics. She has taught quilting at Primitives of the Midwest in Lee’s Summit , Missouri , and various workshops using her own original patterns. She has been quilting for over thirty years and is a member of the American Quilting Society and The Quilter's Guild of Greater Kansas City .
