August at OPQG

Mary Loker, Program Chairman, introduced Jan Patek from Cameron, Missouri for the OPQG monthly meeting. Jan is known for designing folk art quilts that reflect her farm life and her children. She is a fabric designer for Moda and a pattern designer. You can see her needle turn applique tutorials on You Tube.  Jan showed us many beautiful quilts done in her signature primitive folk-art style.

Just like Pam, who is pictured here, all of the 16 participating students surprised themselves with their innovative creations  after learning just a few of the many techniques demonstrated during the workshop
